My husband and I love to cook, we are always buying new kitchen gadgets, and experimenting with what pots/pans are the best.
I was contacted to do a review on the 8"Green Earth Pan by Ozeri. This pan features a ceramic non stick coating, and is 100% PTFE and PFOA free, which I love since most non-stick pans all feature the harmful chemicals. The pan also has a textured bottom which distributes the heat to enhance the cooking of the food. The handle of this pan is excellent. I love how it has a full silicone handle. My other pans only have a partial silicone handle, and the handles get very hot. The handle of this pan is very comfortable.
I decided to cook eggs in this pan for my review, since eggs usually stick to any kind of pan out there.
I cooked the eggs without any cooking spray or butter. The pan worked great! The non stick was excellent and the eggs were easy to get off the sides of the pan. The eggs also cooked very fast but didn't overcook. Cleanup was a snap with just a wet sponge, no scrubbing at all.
I will be doing an update after about a month to see how the non stick part of the pan is. The only thing I would like differently about this pan is I wish the bottom was thicker, and that there was copper on the bottom of the pan. The heat did distribute well, but I believe the copper would definately enhance it more so.
